Point of Cure Acupuncture & Electromedicine
I am a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) licensed as an Acupuncture Physician. In practice for almost 25 years, I have helped thousands of patients tap into their body's natural ability to self-heal. I especially enjoy working with people fighting so called “difficult” conditions, such as degenerative neurological and auto-immune diseases.
Patients often ask me why I have left conventional medicine for acupuncture. Here's what’s happened.
After decades of conventional primary care, I found myself increasingly frustrated with the corporate-driven “assembly-line” medicine. I was being pushed to see more and more patients. Against my own best judgment, I was “encouraged” (both by my peers and pharmaceutical reps) to continue prescribing toxic medicines. Weekends were spent in front of my computer meaninglessly checking off the boxes in electronic health records. All the while … my patients were not getting better. I myself was developing a chronic back pain. I was getting depressed. My family worried.
It became clear that I had to exit this rat’s race. I began researching less toxic and more powerful approaches to healing. Dozens of medical seminars, hundreds of hours of reading, and a formal doctorate in Chinese Medicine later, the day had finally arrived when I felt like I was finally ready. I handed my resignation, took a deep breath, and … never looked back. Soon thereafter, I moved my family to Florida.
Today, reflecting on my journey, I see that I absolutely made the right decision. It helped me rediscover the joy of healing. It healed me. I now see patients at a slower pace, getting to know them as people rather than their medical diagnoses. I get to practice the amazing art of healing touch. My patients are getting better. My back hurts less. My kids are happy to spend weekends with me.
